Någonstans man kan förhandsboka utan att behöva ligga ute med hela summan?
Känns spontant rätt så onödigt att ligga ute med pengarna i onödan.

You're right in that if you want fully immersive VR you want the Rift. They've really done a great job at developing that technology.
The VRD that we've developed has a lower field of view because we want it to be useful for non-gaming applications (direct-streaming movies, desktop apps, etc) as well as games. So while you can still play games in great 3D, the FOV on these rounds of protototypes will be lower than the Rift.
But the image quality is going to be a completely different experience, something that only a virtual retinal display can do. I hope that you'll take some time to read the reviews and one day try out a headset.
Anyway, expanding the FOV is definitely on our radar. We've gotten a lot of good feedback from gamers on what their VR needs are. We just have to move carefully..."
