Det har blivit en trög start för virtual reality-revolutionen. #Oculus Rift-leveranserna har försenats på grund av komponentbrist, och även hos #HTC Vive är det problem att få ut produkterna till tidiga kunder. Vissa som förhandsbokat en Vive fick i helgen sina beställningar försenade.
Enligt HTC beror det på problem med bankerna, och av den här Reddit-tråden att döma har inte betalningen gått igenom, vilket följts av förseningsbesked från HTC via mejl.
Så här säger HTC:
While fulfilling this week’s orders for HTC Vive, a limited number of individuals were affected by auto cancellations due to processing issues with financial institutions. We’re actively working to resolve this, and have already reinstated orders for some customers. We want to assure our customers that we’ll work with them to process their payment so they can receive their Vive when they were expecting it. If you pre-ordered a Vive, we encourage you to contact your financial institution to notify them of upcoming charges.
Samtidigt finns tecken på att det inte enbart är betalningsstrul som ligger bakom problemen. FZ:s och #Sweclockers testexemplar skulle ha dykt upp för ett par veckor sedan, men har försenats flera gånger.
Vive lanseras officiellt i morgon, tisdag den 5 april. Vi har fått tag på ett exemplar, och vi delar med oss av våra intryck inom kort.
