Likt en ståltitan som faller från himlen både avtäcktes och presenterades Apex Legends i går. Visserligen ryktades det om detta gratis battle royale-spel några dagar tidigare, men innan dess var vi alla rätt säkra på att Respawn jobbade på Titanfall 3.
Men Titanfall 3 är överhuvudtaget inte under utveckling, åtminstone inte hos Respawn, berättar lead producer Drew McCoy för Eurogamer.

Han kommenterar också varför man valde att släppa spelet helt utan förvarning. Delvis ville man låta spelet tala för sig självt, delvis anade man att förutsättningarna – lootlådor, free to play, EA som utgivare, inget Titanfall 3 – skulle kunna piska upp arga känslor. Och så här långt har taktiken lyckats rätt bra.

We're doing a free to play game, with essentially loot boxes, after we were bought by EA, and it's not Titanfall 3. It's the perfect recipe for a marketing plan to go awry, so why have that - let's just ship the game and let players play.
McCoy avslöjar också att Apex Legends kan komma till Switch och andra bärbara plattformar (mobiler?), men att det är något "vi inte kan prata om i nuläget".
Så för att sammanfatta: inget Titanfall 3 på gång i nuläget.
